Torches NYC is more than a dispensary. It’s the product of two powerful stories coming together — the Polanco brothers' journey to build something meaningful, and the revival of one of Manhattan’s most storied landmarks into a space where cannabis culture thrives.
FROM QUEENS TO MIDTOWN
The Polanco brothers arrived in New York from the Dominican Republic in the 1990s, full of ambition and determination. Raised in Jamaica, Queens, they shared a vision and a deep belief in building something of their own. That vision became Torches.
With hard work, persistence, and a love for their city, they transformed a dream into a destination. Torches reflect the energy of their roots and the pride of their progress. It is built for New Yorkers, by New Yorkers, with a focus on quality, wellness, and community.
A LANDMARK REBORN
Torches is located in the historic Nat Sherman Townhouse, just steps from Grand Central Station. For nearly a century, the building was home to one of New York’s most iconic cigar lounges, a place where elegance, ritual, and connection came together.
Today, that same spirit lives on. We’ve preserved the original wood finishes and art deco details, and reimagined the space for a new era. This is not just a storefront. It is a living part of Midtown history, now shaped by cannabis and the community around it.
FOR THOSE WHO SEEK MORE
Cannabis has the power to lift the mind, calm the body, and shift the day. Whether you’re looking for better sleep, less pain, or just a bit more peace, Torches is here to help you find what works. Our menu is carefully curated, our team is here to guide, and our goal is to make every visit feel personal. You deserve the best, and that’s what we’re here to offer.
COME BE PART OF THE STORY
Torches NYC is built on family, heritage, and the belief that cannabis belongs to everyone. When you walk through our doors, you’re not just shopping. You’re stepping into a story that started decades ago and continues with every person we meet.
This is a place where past meets present and where people come not just to buy, but to belong.
